Q1: why were mr.ahmed's students excited?
A. Mr. Ahmed's students were excited due to their plan of picnic was successful as their head master permitted them to go on a day's trip by the school bus and mr. Ahmed arranged the visit to a farm with the manager of the model agricultural farm , named mr. Hassan.
Q:2. What surprised the boys when they reached the model farm?
A. The boys were surprised bcz they never thought the farm to be so goodly immence and interesting.
Q3: what is the name of the machine working in the wheat field and what does it do? 
A. The machine on the wheat field is called "combine" and its function is to cut the crop and tie it into sheaves.
Q4. What does thresher do?
A. It is used to separate the grain from the chaff. It consists of 2 ends, through 1 falls a golden rain of sweet smelling wheat and through the other falls out the chaff.
Q5. How r ploughing , seeding , harvesting done on the model farm? 
A. In the model farm, ploughing is done through tractors and this prepares the land 4 sowing at a faster rate. The seeding is done by the help of sowing machine which sows the seeds faster and no seeds are wasted. The harvesting is performed by the machine called combine and the thresher performs the threshing purpose
 Q6. How much work can a man do on the machine?
A. A man working on the machine can perform the task as much as 100 men working without it.
Q7. What is the average produce per hectre on the model farm and ordinary farm?
A. The average produce per hectre on the model agricultural farm is 60-70 quintals as compare to the ordinary farms which produce 15-20 quintals of wheat 4 every hectre
8. What is the difrns b/w the output of the two?A. The diff b/w the output of the two is that model farm yields more wheat while the produce of average farms is far less than that of the model agricultural farm.
 Q9. What do they do to kill the grms n inscts?
A. They spray insecticides on crops to kill germs n insects.
Q10. What do they grow ö the model farm? 
A. They grow certain crops ö the farm which consist of wheat , maize, cotton, sugar cane, and gram. Veges r also grown on the farm and there is a presence of an orchard as well where oranges and mangoes r grown.
Q11. Y wr the boys srprisd on jhe vege farm?
A. The boys were surprised on the vegetable farm bcz to their astonisment, such vegetables were grown there , which were outta season


Q12. Which machines are used on the model farm and what r their functiöns?
A. Modernized machinery is used on the model farm such as combine, sowing machine, tractor and thresher. These can perform the work of as much as 100 persons wrkng wdout machinery and these machines even help out to yield much finer , better and vast range of crops and vegetables in all seasons.
Q13. Give 4 methods which r used on model farm to produce bigger crop?
A. To meet all the requirements and to produce bigger crops, following methods r used in the model farm.
1. They use new n modernised machinery.
2. Insecticides r used for killing germs and insects.
3. They also apply the technique of tube wells to irrigate their fields.
4. They use chemical fertilizers and all these things lead to the production of greater crops
What mr. Hassan offered the boys in lunch? 
A. He served them a delicious lunch prepared from their own production.
